My sister’s 50 today and here’s the card I made for her:
I decided a pretty scalloped circle easel card would suit the occasion.
The base is purple card from my stash and I cut the scallops using my Pazzles Inspiration Die Cutting Machine.
The paper mattes are from the K&Company “Life’s Tapestry” paper block. The paper used for the front is glittered and the paper for the base is foiled.
I cut the numbers 5 and 0 from glittered paper and “Fabulous” is cut from purple shimmer vellum using my Pazzles (thank goodness I’m lucky enought to have this!).
I used the same foiled paper for the circle on the back of the card, and created a ring of butterflies using Photoshop Elements 8 and a digital butterfly image from designer Aimee Harrison from the kit “Japan Kites”. I always make a wreath/ring of flowers or butterflies, etc to add my own “made by” stamp. Font used in this instance is “Piranesi It BT”. I cut the circle using a Pyrex bowl and this covered the prongs of the gold brad which I glittered using Ranger Ice Stickles glitter glue!
50 is an age to embrace rather than to fear!
