Father’s Day Easel Card

I am blessed to have lovely, supportive parents who have always surrounded me with love, affection and encouragement.    They just love to receive cards I make… you can really see the anticipation in their faces as they open the envelopes.

The card I made for my mummy for Mother’s Day this year can be seen in an earlier post.  I made the following card for my Pop for Father’s Day which was on 16 June this year in the UK.

Using my Pazzles Inspiration Electronic Die Cutter, I cut 2 scallop-edged 19cm squares from 300gsm white card and inked edges with Brilliance Ink Pad “Peacock”. I then attached these to another piece of card which I had folded so that when the card is closed, the scalloped squares match perfectly.

Digital Elements:

  • Diamonds paper from the “SK8R” kit by Amanda Carlson
  • Image of snoozing man from internet (sorry don’t know designer)

Fonts used:

  • Happy – “Algerian”
  • Father’s Day – “Cast Iron”
  • Pop – “”
  • Relax & enjoy your day! “”

I also used some silver glitter card from my stash to matte the paper and images and star shaped brads which I coated with Ice Stickles glitter glue.

Birth Congratulations

We had some lovely news on Saturday; my cousin’s son and daughter-in-law‘s son had arrived.  It was a real surprise to us as we didn’t even know she was pregnant!  The creative juices started flowing and again using Pink Petticoat‘s designs, I made this card…

The insert…

Materials used:

  • 300gsm white card
  • Daisy Bouquet paper (white background “Ocean” flowers) by Pink Petticoat
  • Matching “Ocean” coloured paper
  • Digital stamp “Baby Buggy” by Pink Petticoat
  • Blue vellum
  • Baby boy face digital stamp on front of insert (sorry to designer – I have no record of name)

If you would like to know how I coloured the baby buggy on the digital stamp, please contact me.
